Peter Kropotkin, what do you think about Limitarianism, the Radical wealth equity plan of Ingrid Robeyns, the Dutch ethicist? She believes no one should have more than $10 million, and excess should be redistributed.
I agree with her principle that no one should hoard wealth, but I reject her curative solution of setting a limit within a capitalist framework. This isn’t enough. Simply capping wealth does not eliminate exploitation or hierarchy. Wealth redistribution under capitalism leaves the system intact. Limitarianism is a band-aid; I want systemic surgery.
